The global leader in the design and manufacture of a huge array of Peiner Grapples and Buckets is SMAG Germany. Our manufacturing line is comprised of electro-hydraulic motor grabs, mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting devices, single rope radio control grabs and a range of other types of specialized lifting machinery.



To date, Peiner has provided more than 75,000 units throughout the globe. Our unique grabs deal with a range of materials from cement, iron ores, fertilizers, coke, refuse and scrap, among a range of other things. Our many years of experience in the overall designing process and in making excellent products helps to allow our client's receive the proven technology their diverse applications require.



SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. for more than 12 years in the US market place. Different businesses like for example Waste to Energy, Scrap handling, Steel Mills, Bulk Transfer Facilities and many other material handling facilities are now using our grabs and buckets to do their jobs.



The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around providing grabs which deal with the biggest volume of material versus grab dead weight. The regular handling ratio for Peiner grabs and buckets is roughly 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This means moving more quantities of materials quicker. There is less wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related parts. Through a combination of innovative design and high quality materials with manufacturing, the required weight ratio is attained.



In order to suit the particular needs of our customer's individual requirements, grab sizes range from less than 1 cubic yard to more than fifty cubic yards. Peiner USA Inc. also offers a complete spare parts facility and service facility for the units sold within the United States, as well as the addition of brand new grabs and buckets.
