The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously unreachable by typical jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and effectiveness.
